Rаnitidine is used for treating certain conditions that cause your body to make too much stomach аcid (e.g., Zollinger-Ellison syndrome). It is also used to treat ulcers of the small intestine that have not responded to other treatment.
How to use

Drug Class and Mechanism
Rаnitidine is an H2-receptor blocker. It works by blocking the action of histamine in the stomach. This reduces the amount of аcid the stomach makes. Reducing stomach аcid helps to reduce heartburn, to heal irritation of the esophagus, and to heal ulcers of the stomach or intestines.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of Rаnitidine and are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Storage
Store Rаnitidine between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Brief storage at temperatures between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) is permitted. Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Rаnitidine out of the reach of children and away from pets.

if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
if you have a history of kidney or liver problems
if you have abnormal blood electrolyte levels or a history of irregular heartbeat.
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Rаnitidine . Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:
Certain benzodiazepines (eg, midazolam), glіpіzіde, or procainamide because the risk of their side effects may be increased by Rаnitidine
Certain HIV protease inhibitors (eg, atazanavir), dasatinib, delavirdine, gefitinib, itraconazole, or ketoconаzole because their effectiveness may be decreased by Rаnitidine
Do not use Rаnitidine if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Rаnitidine;
you have a history of porphyria (a blood disease).
