Drug Uses
Apart from being used in the treatment of hypertension, Hytrіn is also used to relieve the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH.
Usage
You may take Hytrіn with or without food. But take it with food to avoid an upset stomach. You may take your first dose at bedtime. However, never take more than the 1 milligram your doctor has prescribed.
Missed Dose
Take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take 2 doses at the same time.
Storage
Store it in a dark, cool place at room temperature. Protect from direct exposure to light and heat.
Overdose
Some of the milder symptoms of a Hytrіn overdose are dizziness, light-headedness, and fainting. More severe cases may lead to shock. So seek medical attention immediately if you suspect an overdose.
